To strengthen our data protection and governance capabilities, we are looking for a Data Protection Manager to support the operational implementation and continuous improvement of data protection practices across assigned legal entities and business functions.
In this role, you act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, IT specialists and legal experts across an international environment. You translate data protection requirements into practical solutions and contribute to building a sustainable privacy culture throughout the organization.
Drive the implementation and continuous enhancement of data protection practices across assigned legal entities and business functions
Partner with business teams, IT and project stakeholders to embed Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default principles into processes and projects
Coordinate key privacy processes, including Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIA), data subject requests and personal data breach assessments
Collaborate closely with Legal, Procurement, IT and business stakeholders on data processing agreements, international data transfers and privacy-related contractual matters
Develop practical policies, templates, guidelines and standards that support compliance and business efficiency
Contribute to privacy reporting, audits, maturity assessments and selected data governance initiatives that promote responsible data use
University degree in Law, Business Administration, Information Management, Computer Science, Compliance, Risk Management or a related discipline
At least 5 years of professional experience in data protection, privacy compliance, compliance management or data governance
Fluent German and English skills
Strong practical knowledge of GDPR and Swiss nDSG; knowledge of UK GDPR is an advantage.
Experience with RoPA, DPIAs, data subject requests, privacy notices, retention concepts and third-party assessments
Data protection certification such as IAPP CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent
Good understanding of IT systems, data flows and security concepts; experience with M365, SAP, DPMS or compliance tooling is an advantage.
Ability to translate regulatory requirements into pragmatic business solutions
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills in an international environment
