R&D Engineer / Technical Product Responsible

As a Technical Product Responsible, you will become the technical owner of a portfolio of products after market launch. You will ensure their long-term technical integrity, compliance, reliability, and competitiveness while balancing the requirements of customers, manufacturing, quality, procurement, and product management.

This role provides a unique opportunity to influence strategic product decisions, manage technical risks, and drive continuous improvement across the entire product lifecycle.

• Take technical ownership of assigned products throughout their lifecycle.

• Evaluate, approve, and implement product changes and engineering change requests.

• Ensure compliance with applicable standards, specifications, and certification requirements.

• Identify lifecycle, obsolescence, and supply chain risks and initiate appropriate mitigation measures.

• Drive product improvements related to quality, reliability, manufacturability, and cost optimization.

• Qualify alternative materials and second sources, including coordination of testing and validation activities.

• Assess technical feasibility and risks related to customer-specific variants and new business opportunities.

• Maintain accurate technical product data, specifications, and documentation within PLM systems.

• Lead technical root-cause investigations and collaborate closely with Product Management, Process Engineering, Quality, Approval, and Procurement functions.

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable technical discipline.

• Several years of experience in Product Engineering, R&D, Product Lifecycle Management, or a comparable technical role.

• Experience with engineering changes, product qualification, testing, and technical risk assessment.

• Good understanding of industrial products, manufacturing processes, and technical documentation.

• Knowledge of product conformity, standards, and certification requirements is an advantage.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a proactive mindset.

• Good knowledge of 3D CAD systems; experience with SolidWorks is a strong advantage.

• Good English language skills
