The new SCHURTER ADO series is a fuse with a rated current range of 10 to 63 A and a maximum operating current of 40 A at 1000 VDC. It is designed for applications in direct current systems up to 1000 VDC and is particularly suitable for use in electric vehicles.
The fuse has a fast tripping characteristic, high current carrying capacity and good vibration resistance. The ADO series is UL-certified. Technological features such as a patented filler formulation and special curing processes ensure safe arc extinguishing and prevent secondary arcing.

ALO: High Voltage EV Fuse
The SCHURTER ALO series has been specially developed for high-voltage electric vehicle applications and covers voltages up to 1000 VDC and currents up to 900 amps. With a high breaking capacity of up to 50 kA and the option of axial or bottom bolt-on mounting – available in either ceramic or resin housings – it offers maximum design flexibility.
The product line is available in a variety of voltage ratings from 250 to 1000 VDC and covers current ranges from 100 to 900 A. It is designed for an operating temperature range of -40 to +125 °C. The housing materials are ceramic or resin, and the end caps are made of a tin-coated copper alloy.

SCHURTER certified according to IATF 16949
On 10 August 2017, SCHURTER AG in Lucerne successfully passed the audits for the certification according to the new Automotive Standard IATF 16949: 2016. This new standard of the IATF (International Automotive Task Force) places the highest demands on the system and process quality of a company.
SCHURTER has pursued this certification with the clear goal of further developing its own company. SCHURTER intends to improve continuously in order to meet the ever-growing demands of its customers today and in the future.
After clean analyzes, internal processes were optimized, the documentation of all products and production processes refined down to the last detail. Management has also been compelled: in the future, it will be more involved in all process and production phases.
The interdisciplinary and process-oriented is gaining in importance. The goal is clearly defined: the reliability of the processes is increased and thus the product quality is maintained at a high and - most importantly - constant level. Zero errors are the goal. An objective that requires a continuous optimization process.
