Industrial Automation and Aerospace
As a Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in accelerating our growth in the Industrial Automation and Aerospace markets across the EMEA and Americas regions. In this strategic role, you will take full ownership of our application-specific technology portfolio, leveraging your understanding of market dynamics and emerging technology trends to develop actionable growth initiatives. Your ability to identify new business opportunities will be essential as you build and manage a strong pipeline and shape the direction of our technology roadmap - reinforcing our position as a technology leader in our core markets.
You will develop strategic partnerships that align with our long-term vision and work closely with cross-functional teams — including R&D, Product Management, and Sales — to bring complex business development projects to life. Your insights and leadership will directly influence how we develop our market and deliver value to customers in high-tech, innovation-driven industries. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution in a global, collaborative environment.
Own and drive the application-specific technology and product roadmap
Define and execute go-to-market strategies for focus markets, including market segmentation, positioning, and targeting
Responsible for sales revenue, market growth, and gross margin
Analyze market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive market landscape
Translate market insights into new product innovation initiatives
Develop and qualify business opportunities through customer and market engagement
Build and lead strategic partnerships to develop new market opportunities
Represent SCHURTER at industry events and conferences
Establish business cases and product specifications
Align global messaging and application priorities with marketing
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline
Several years of experience in Business Development or Product Management, ideally within the electronics, electrical, or semiconductor industry
Strong understanding of business acume, innovation management, market benchmarking, CRM (preferably SAP), and industry-specific standards and requirements
Proven experience in managing key accounts or vertical markets and in developing and executing GTM strategies with a hands-on, results-driven approach and a high level of ownership
Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work effectively with R&D, Product Management, and Sales
Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional languages are a plus
