Business Development Manager 100% (w/f/d)

Industrial Sector – Global


The Business Development Manager (BDM) for Industrial is a critical strategic execution role focused on driving SCHURTER’s growth in Industrial systems. You will lead the "Design-In" strategy for our technical portfolio including HMI , Fuses, connectors and other components.

In this strategic role reporting into the CMO, you will own an application-specific technology portfolio, analyze market, technology trends, competitors and transform insights into targeted growth initiatives.

You will identify new business opportunities, cultivate strategic partnerships, and lead cross-functional business development projects in close collaboration with Sales, Product Management R&D and Technology Teams.

Your Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the global go-to-market strategies for focus applications, including market segmentation, positioning, and targeting.

  • Analyze emerging technology trends and competitive landscapes to identify untapped growth white spaces.

  • Identify and qualify new business opportunities along with Regional sales teams engaging directly with engineering leads to ensure SCHURTER components are specified at the PCB and system level.

  • Responsible for sales revenue, market growth, and gross margin in the segment.

  • Analyze market trends, emerging technologies, and competitive market landscape.

  • Translate market insights into new product initiatives (NPIs) and application-specific technology and product roadmap.

  • Develop and qualify business opportunities through customer and market engagement.

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with Tier 1 OEMs and technology innovators to drive platform-level adoption.

  • Build and lead strategic partnerships to develop new market opportunities.

  • Represent SCHURTER at industry events and market workshops.

  • Support business case and product specification development.

  • Align global messaging and application priorities with marketing.

Your Qualifications
  • Industry management or Lead Customer Management experience in Ind Automation. Medical experience beneficial.

  • EMEA Based

  • Fluent in English

  • Several years of experience in Business Development or Product Management, ideally within the electronics, electrical, or semiconductor industry.

  • Proven experience in managing key accounts or vertical markets and in developing and executing GTM strategies with a hands-on, results-driven approach and a high level of ownership.

  • Strong understanding of innovation management, market benchmarking, CRM (preferably SAP), and industry-specific standards and requirements.

  • Excellent analytical, presentation, and communication skills.

  • Ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and work effectively with R&D, Product Management, and Sales.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, Electrical Engineering or a similar technical discipline.

  • Ability to travel up to 30% globally for customer engagement and market development.
