As a New Tech Engineer, you will contribute to SCHURTER's innovative strength and competitiveness. You will work in our engineering team of mechanical and electrical engineers. Your focus will be on the development, validation and implementation of innovative Human Machine Interface (HMI) solutions with a focus on touchscreen technology in order to strengthen SCHURTER's market position and respond to future trends and customer needs.
Identify trends and developments in the market in collaboration with the Product Manager.
Identify new technologies and translate them into applicable concepts for HMI products.
Develop new concepts, plan and conduct feasibility studies, perform calculations and simulations.
Develop and evaluate proof-of-concepts integrating hardware and software.
Develop hardware and software for test setups.
Evaluate and document test results.
Ensure the quality of new technologies.
Create work instructions and technical documentation for the implementation of new technologies.
Conduct presentations and technical training for internal stakeholders such as sales and engineering.
Actively participate in multidisciplinary development projects, including within the SCHURTER Group.
Act as a technical contact person in the field of HMI.
Completed higher professional education or university education in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, Mechatronics or similar.
Experience with product development and/or HMI technology or displays is an advantage.
Knowledge of validation methods and quality processes.
Affinity with both technical development and market-driven innovation.
Knowledge of production processes, materials, products and reading technical drawings.
Practical mechatronics skills to build and test prototypes
At least 2 years of experience in product development.
Proficiency in English, German is an advantage.

A creative and innovative thinker, with a keen sense of trends and new technologies, who knows how to translate this into a practical concept.
Good communication skills, able to explain complex matters clearly to various target groups.
Results-oriented, with an eye for quality and detail.
A team player who can easily switch between different disciplines (Sales, Quality, Engineering).
For this challenging position, we offer a one-year contract with the intention of converting it to permanent employment after one year.
