DMSD – Compact Configuration. Proven Reliability.

The DMSD is a low-profile DIP switch featuring the industry-standard 2.54 mm pitch and gullwing SMT terminals for reflow soldering. It is designed for address selection, communication protocol configuration and functional parameter settings in industrial and electronic applications.

The product is available with 1 to 10 and 12 positions and uses SPST contacts. With a height of 3.6 mm, it supports space-efficient PCB layouts. Mechanical life is specified at 2,000 switching cycles with an operating force of ≤ 8 N. The operating temperature range extends from -40 °C to +85 °C. Initial contact resistance is ≤ 100 mΩ and remains ≤ 200 mΩ after the specified reliability tests.

Applications
Typical applications include industrial automation, building controls, servers, medical devices, robotics and consumer appliances. Common use cases are address configuration, RS485 and Modbus settings, BIOS/CMOS configuration and functional parameter selection. The standardized form factor and footprint enable straightforward integration into existing hardware designs.
