Successful Swiss Future Career Day 2023
On November 9, 2023, Switzerland hosted National Future Career Day, an initiative that gives young people practical insights into the world of work. At SCHURTER AG in Lucerne, 13 children between the ages of 10 and 14 took this opportunity to get to know the professional world of adults.
Practical insights
The participants had the chance to look over the shoulders of their adult supervisors at work. In addition to observing daily tasks in the workplace, active work in the learning workshop was a central part of the day. Here, the young people were able to gain practical experience.
Beyond traditional role models
The aim of Future Career Day is to encourage young people to shape their professional future based on their interests and talents, regardless of traditional role models.
Future employees
It is all the more gratifying when SCHURTER AG receives applications for apprenticeships from former Future Career Day participants in later years - an indication that the day has left a lasting impression on young people.
