With the TCS6F series, SCHURTER offers a compact, sealed tactile switch as an alternative in the established market for momentary-action switches. The series combines IP67 protection with a choice of actuation forces, product heights and termination styles, allowing designers to tailor the switch to different device architectures and user interface requirements.
Three actuation forces of 1.45 N, 2.5 N and 4 N, together with product heights ranging from 3.5 to 5.2 mm, provide flexibility in mechanical integration and tactile response. Gullwing SMD and J-type terminations support different PCB layout requirements, while reflow soldering enables integration into automated manufacturing processes.
Technical Specifications
The TCS6F is rated for switching voltages of 1 to 30 V DC and switching currents of 10 µA to 50 mA. Maximum contact resistance is 100 mΩ, and the operating temperature range extends from −40 °C to +85 °C. Its IP67 rating supports use in environments requiring protection against water ingress. Depending on the actuation force, mechanical life ranges from 300,000 to 5 million cycles. Versions with up to 10 million cycles are available on request for selected 3.5 mm variants.
Application Areas
Typical applications include industrial electronics, instrumentation and control equipment, power tools, high-end consumer products and medical devices. With its range of mechanical options, the TCS6F provides designers with a versatile solution for compact, sealed switching applications.
