Reliable HMI solutions and electronic components for precise and efficient laboratory equipment

Medical laboratory devices place high demands on usability, hygiene, and electromagnetic compatibility. SCHURTER offers a wide range of HMI (Human Machine Interfaces) and electronic components designed to meet these needs.

The SCHURTER DG11 power entry module, which has been optimized and proven over many years, is now available in a version with an additional magnetic release to protect against very high overcurrents (short circuit) at the integrated TA35 circuit breaker.
Circuit breakers are usually designed according to the thermal principle with a bimetal. If a defined temperature is exceeded due to the overcurrent, the circuit is interrupted. Once the bimetal has cooled down, the device is ready for use again. However, this process is very slow. For this reason, thermal circuit breakers are usually combined with a fuse.

SCHURTER prismatic supercapacitors, developed with CAP-XX, store energy in an ultra-thin, lightweight format and release it very quickly. They bridge the gap between capacitors and batteries, offering high power density, very low ESR, low self-discharge and long cycle life. SCPA is as thin as 0.4 mm. Typical uses include wearables, IoT sensors, medical devices, short backup and energy harvesting.

The medical standard defines the pinnacle of safety. Its implementation ensures optimized processes and consistent product quality—meeting the most demanding expectations.

Quality, safety, and environmental responsibility are central to SCHURTER’s operations. The company’s products comply with internationally recognized standards such as ENEC certification, RoHS, ISO 9001:2015, ISO 45001:2018, and IATF 16949:2016. These certifications reflect SCHURTER’s commitment to delivering reliable and compliant electronic components for use in medical, laboratory, and industrial applications.
SCHURTER has long prioritized sustainability. As early as 1999, the company launched initiatives to eliminate lead and achieve RoHS compliance ahead of industry regulations. By 2006, all product lines had transitioned to lead-free production without compromising on performance or quality. Today, extensive testing, continuous process optimization, and globally certified management systems ensure that SCHURTER products consistently meet modern demands in a safe and sustainable manner.
